1. Introduction

SubSnip ("we", "our", or "us") is a subscription tracking application developed by Vajeeran Logeswaran. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SubSnip mobile application (the "App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. SubSnip is designed with a privacy-first approach — we do not require bank connections, do not scrape financial data, and do not sell your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information provided by those services (name and email).

2.2 Subscription Data

You manually enter subscription information including service names, prices, billing cycles, renewal dates, categories, and notes. This data is entered entirely by you — we never automatically access your bank accounts, credit cards, or financial institutions.

2.3 App Preferences

We store your chosen language, currency, theme, and notification preferences to personalize your experience.

2.4 Purchase Information

If you purchase SubSnip Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We only receive a purchase confirmation and subscription status.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide and maintain the SubSnip service
• Sync your subscription data across your devices
• Send renewal reminder notifications (if enabled)
• Process and verify your Pro purchase status
• Improve the App based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing SubSnip's core functionality.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your subscription data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage with Row Level Security (RLS). This means only you can access your own data — no other user or administrator can view your subscriptions.

Sensitive credentials such as authentication tokens are stored using platform-native secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) via Expo SecureStore.

All data transmission between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly for operating SubSnip:

• Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
• RevenueCat — In-app purchase management (receives only purchase status, not subscription data)
• Apple / Google — Authentication (when using Sign in with Apple or Google)
• Expo — Push notification delivery (receives only device tokens, not subscription data)

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

• Access — View all your subscription data within the App at any time
• Export — Download your data as a CSV file (Pro feature)
• Delete— Permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the App's Profile settings
• Opt out of notifications — Disable push notifications at any time in the App or your device settings

When you delete your account, all your personal data and subscription records are permanently removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy

SubSnip is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
